This is perhaps one of the strangest species in the hobby. Many hobbyists love this species for their communal friendly behavior and the fact that they will often dive into water to avoid preditors and can remain there for extended periods of time. Even captivity, some hobbyists have noticed these tarantulas actually dive into water features they have in the terrariums.
